Screen Candy? Sounded weird to us at first, but the name was very intriguing, so we inquired about checking out some samples. To be honest I wasn’t sure what to expect as I had only been introduced to Screen protectors and cases for my iPhone.
According to their website, here is the description of Screen Candy:

With this in mind, we saw there was literally an empty screen, millions of them, on all kinds of personal electronic devices.

We saw endless different designs, logos, words, teams and images, etc… that we could see ourselves, and others wanting to place on our screens. The basic premise of Screen Candy is to decorate your phone. Since our family owns iPhones I can attest that there is a ton of wasted space around the screen and this is where Screen Candy comes into play.
Screen Candy are static cling circles that come in a variety of designs and colors. There is no adhesive to them so you can easily transfer them from a phone to another item with ease. We primarily used them around the edges of our phones, but they can be used on just about anything to help decorate the item.
My daughters simply love them and have them all over their phones, laptop, and scrapbooks. The cost of Screen Candy ranges from $2.95 – $3.95 for 5 “stickers”.

As most of you know we have been a big fan of various iPhone cases, but we have never reviewed nor considered an alternative. Enter BodyGuardz Armor Carbon Fiber for iPhone 4.
Upon first glance I wasnt sure what to expect. I am so used to snapping on or slipping on a case I didnt know exactly what to expect. I can tell you that after opening the package the dry installation of the BodyGuardz Armor Carbon Fiber for iPhone 4 was seamless.
The package comes with a screen protector but I already had one in place on my phone so I simply installed the Armor Carbon Fiber on the back of the back of the phone. It took all of 10 seconds to get it in place and secure.
I then noticed the package comes with small strips that fit around the sides of the iPhone. To install these it took about 2 minutes to decide the proper areas, but there was no difficulty in applying. If you made a mistake placing the strips down they were easy to peel up yet secure enough to stay put.
The feel of the BodyGuardz Armor Carbon Fiber for iPhone 4 is outstanding. The texture allows for a firm grip of the iPhone yet the phone slides easily in and out of a pocket.
I would highly recommend this product for anyone who feels a case is bulky and too large for them. The BodyGuardz Armor Carbon Fiber for iPhone 4 provides maximum protection with the feel of the iPhone coming directly out of the box.
We would give this product a 10 out of 10 for those who want a sleek, yet, protected feel for their iPhone.

Elago provided us with two S4 Glide cases for the iPhone 4 from Verizon. The first one was pink and white and the second was light blue and white.
The Elago S4 Glide case for iPhone case comes in a variety of colors and fits both the ATT and Verizon Wireless versions of the iPhone 4. The description of the case reads:
“Keep the iPhone 4 safe & protected in style with the S4 Glide Case. Unique design allows easy access to all buttons, controls & ports without having to remove the case. Polyurethane coated to protect from scratches and for better grip.”
The packaging of the case is very appealing to the eye and builds anticipation of the product.
The body of the case is sturdy but not the strongest material we have tested. With that being said the case will certainly keep your iPhone protected and is a nice product if you want a slim designed case.
The Elago S4 Glide Case allows for easy access to all posts and power buttons. It is a very smooth transition to change out the base colors from one to the other. The case comes with a microfiber fabric to help keep your iPhone clean and neat. The feel of the case is slick and not a rubbery one. Our tendency is to prefer a case that provides some traction, rather than a smooth surface, but we know countless others who prefer a gentle surface.
We would rate this case a 7 out of a 10 product. The case was nice but nothing that really jumped out at us to separate it from the others. The variety of colors is a nice option as well as the ability to interchange the base of the case to provide a different look. Again if you like a smooth case surface the rating would be an 8 out of 10. All-in-all a quality product from Elago.

I am hear to tell you that you may want to change your mind with how you listen to your music in the future. Grado has produced the SR60i headphones which are some of the most cost effective, quality headphones, we have ever used.
The Grado SR601 headphones have the appearance of the type of headphones that were popular when I was a child, but let me tell you these are not your parents headphones at all. The SR60i provides crisp, clear tones while maintaining the natural bass sounds in songs.
Most headphones that provide this type of quality will cost you 2-3 times what these run. Grado does provide a more expensive version of the product but we have not tested that, so we feel comfortable in recommending these headphones to our readers.

All-in-all we would give the Grado SR60i a 9 out of 10 rating. Yes we are being a little picky because the headphones do produce some sounds to penetrate outside the headphone. To us that isnt an issue, but for some it may be bothersome. We would like to note that the sound is very minimal and can only be heard when right next the person using them.
If you are looking for a quality product at a cost efficient price, then make sure to check out the Grado SR60i and I am sure you wont be disappointed with your purchase!

Griffin Technology has released the “Survivor” case for iPhone 4, which we were eager to get our hands on. Most of the cases we have seen for the iPhone were basic and simply covered the back of the iPhone which is fine except then users were forced to also purchase a screen protector.
The “Survivor” iPhone case is much different. From the moment we read this from Griffin we knew this was a top notch product:

One of our favorite features of the the “Survivor” case is the fact that it comes with a screen protector making it virtually impossible to damage the screen.
The body of the case is very sturdy and makes this product probably the most indestructible iPhone case around. We think this case is best for outdoors people who love to have an iPhone, but are very hesitant to take it places for fear of damage to it. With the “Survivor” case you can leave your worries behind and enjoy all of the thrills of your iPhone while knowing it is protected to the max.
We would rate this case a 9 out of a 10 product. The only negative for us is that it is bulky and our preference is simply for a slimmer feel. If that isnt a concern for you then for sure this case is a 10 of 10.

We have been used several different brands of iPhone cases lately and just when we thought we had seen them all, we were provided samples of Default Cases for our iPhone 4.
Upon arrival I was caught by the clever marketing and appearance. of the packaging. The package reveals the case clearly and the words, “Let me out!” tell all you need to know about the product.
The back of the packaging provides you with a nice reminder and thank you letting you know that they truly want their customers to be happy with their purchase and how to contact them if you are not.
Now onto the actual product. Once you oblige and “Let the case out”, you immediately notice the sturdy yet intriguing design. Looking at the case through the packaging I thought it might be a cheaper case but upon touching the case we were amazed. While being lightweight, it is made very strong and tough.
The perforated design looks stunning and is very easy to hold. Being a basketball fan my first thought was it has the appearance of a mesh jersey, which is very appealing to me. The Default Case snaps into place very quickly and protects the iPhone perfectly. There are no rough edges and everything is very smooth to the touch and all of the ports are easily accessible.
Default Cases come in a variety of colors and are available for the iPhone 4, iPhone 3, and iTouch. I am hopeful that Default Cases expand to other phones because those who do not have an iPhone are certainly missing out!
Maybe the best thing about Default Cases if the price. Their current deal consists of a case for $5.00 plus S& H. That is an 85% discount. I can say with utter confidence that I will never place a more expensive case on my iPhone as long as Default Cases are around.
I would highly recommend Default Cases to anyone and everyone who owns and iPhone or iTouch. We give this product a 10 out of 10 score!
This is our second Asus Eee netbook I have utilized and I must say Asus has another winner in our book.

Normally I have used a 15.4″ or even 17″ PC for things such as gaming, movies, and work. At first I was apprehensive about “downgrading” to a 10″ netbook. I was concerned about the screen images, the small keyboard, and overall speed of operations.
To my surprise everyone of those concerns is answered positively with the Asus 1000HA netbook.
Sure the screen is smaller but after a day or two I didnt notice much difference at all. And after viewing several other netbooks with the same screen size the Asus 1000 HA beats them all in clarity.
The keyboard is actually just about the same size as a normal keyboard. That was a huge concern of mine going in, as I do have larger fingers so I was worried that I wouldnt be able to control my typing as well, which would slow down productivity. But again after a day or two I cannot even notice the difference anymore.
The speed was something that you rarely find in a netbook. I was used to high speed surfing and once I connected the netbook to my wireless system I could not tell the difference in loading pages between my main laptop and the Asus netbook.
The only negative is that like other netbooks, there is no CD-DVD Drive. We had to purchase an external CD-DVD player and connect via USB. It isn’t the end of the world, just bothersome at times.
The price for this netbook is comparable to most other 10″ netbooks around. We have found though that for the price the Asus stacks up better than most of the other “bigger name brands”.
As far as netbooks go I would give the Asus 1000 HA netbook a 9.5 out of 10 rating. If you are looking for a nice compact traveling netbook that can do just about everything a larger laptop can do, this is the one for you.
It seems there are thousands of cases for the iPhone 4 and the choices seem endless. We got our hands on the Incipio Ultra Light Feather Case for iPhone 4 for our iPhone.
First off the product has a great feel to it. There is a slight rubber finish to the hard case shell which does provide confidence when holding it. It does contain an open design for easy access to the camera, volume controls, and docking port.
The case is very thin and I would argue thinner than Case Mate’s ‘Barely There’ case. This case though doesn’t clip on over the top of the screen, rather it connects just above the silver trim of the iPhone which does make the screen viewing seem larger.
We did find 2 negatives to this case. There is not a cut-out on the back for viewing of the Apple logo. To some that isn’t a big deal, but to many they want to showcase their “Apple” purchase. The second negative is the color we are reviewing. We received the “Forest Green’ case. To our surprise Incipio’s “Forest Green” color choice is not what was shown on their screen. Instead we opened up the package and it was an “Army Green”. Yes I know a minor detail, but when you are trying to match up your case cover to your favorite schools’ color, it needs to be the same.
I cannot attest to whether the other colors are off or not, but I would advise not to order “Forest Green” unless you are sending it to a friend who is in the military.
Overall we would rate the Incipio Ultra Light Feather Case a 7 out of 10 stars. A quality product with a few flaws to work out.

We received the Chrome Case for our iPhone 4 and we weren’t sure how it would look in person. I can tell you that is is so slim you really do think it is “barely there”. In addition to that the Chrome color makes it look like it is part of the iPhone already. The iPhone 4 has a silver border around the phone and I think this case is the better choice than the black case they offer, as the Chrome finish looks seamless with the product.
There are open space for the volume buttons and port to charge the iPhone which is very nice and convenient. In addition, the slim design clips right onto the iPhone and has a smooth to the touch feel across the face of the iPhone. The back has open areas for the camera as well as to allow for the Apple logo to be seen.
The only real negative I could find with the case was the Chrome finish is something that would make CSI proud. Yes the dreaded fingerprints show up everywhere and it is a futile attempt to try to wipe them away all the time. The good news is after awhile I realized that I am not going to be looking at the bottom of the iPhone very often so it really doesn’t matter.
I would give rate this case a 9 out of 10 as far as iPhone cases go. The only thing keeping it from being a 10 would be the fingerprint issue. Yeah I know….picky…picky….picky. All-in-all this is a great product and we would highly recommend it.
